Strong Through Every Season: Monica + Mary Jo’s BLUSH Story

At BLUSH, we talk a lot about strength — but not just the kind you build with dumbbells or barbells.
We’re talking about the kind of strength that carries women through every season of life.
For Monica and her mom, Mary Jo, BLUSH has become exactly that.
For over a year and a half, this mother-daughter duo has been showing up side by side at BLUSH, encouraging each other through workouts, milestones, challenges, and life changes. What started as working out together turned into something much deeper: accountability, connection, and shared confidence.
One of the most powerful parts of their journey happened during Monica’s second pregnancy.
While so much in life was changing, one thing stayed consistent — showing up at BLUSH with her mom right beside her.
Together, they modified movements when needed, celebrated the wins, and focused on what movement could do for the body instead of what it looked like. Through every stage of pregnancy, Monica continued building strength, confidence, and trust in herself, supported by the encouragement of both the BLUSH community and her biggest supporter: her mom.
And that’s what makes this story so special.
BLUSH isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up through every season.
The season where you feel strong.
The season where you’re rebuilding.
The season where life feels overwhelming.
The season where your body is changing.
The season where you simply need people around you who believe in you.
For Mary Jo and Monica, fitness became more than just workouts. It became quality time together. It became motivation on hard days. It became proof that strength can look different in every stage of life — and still be incredibly powerful.
At BLUSH, we are so honored to celebrate women like these two throughout the month of May as we spotlight the amazing moms and daughters who make our community so special.
Because when women grow stronger together, something incredible happens.
Confidence grows.
Generations inspire each other.
And strength gets passed down in ways far bigger than fitness.
Mary Jo and Monica remind us that the strongest thing a woman can do is continue showing up — for herself and for the people she loves.
